Job summary

Compass-Group in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Hospitality Manager, Conference to oversee hospitality operations across the Conference Centre, workplace catering, and Executive Committee catering programs. This onsite leadership role ensures seamless event execution, guest experiences, and operational efficiency.

You will lead a team of supervisors, servers, bartenders and porters, collaborate with culinary and bookings teams, manage SLAs, and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in banquet, event, or conference management.
• Certifications: Smart Serve, Basic First Aid, Basic Food Safety; can complete Advanced Food Safety within 30 days.
• Strong knowledge of food and labor cost control.
• Excellent leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all F&B services for the Conference Centre, Workplace Catering, and Executive Committee Catering.
• Lead a team of supervisors, servers, bartenders, and porters, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with the culinary and bookings teams to manage conference centre logistics and service execution.
• Maintain high standards of floor operations, service quality, and event execution.
• Handle guest service concerns and ensure compliance with SLAs.
