Job summary

Sodexo Live! at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver is seeking a Concessions Food Handler to support events with safe food service and friendly guest interactions.

You will help prepare stands, rotate stock, and maintain clean work areas; lifting up to 50 pounds may be required; willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays. Experience in hospitality or food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stand organization and setup for events.
• Assist in counting inventory in the stand.
• Assist in overall stand preparation before and during events.
• General cleaning and sanitation of work areas.
• Sell food and beverages, greet customers, and operate POS.
• Provide professional customer service in all situations.
• Cook and store food items and follow food-handling procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

Location: We are seeking an experienced Concessions Food Handlerfor the BC Place Stadium.

Sodexo Live! is the Official Supplier of Food and Beverage Services to BC Place Stadium. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to BC Lions, Vancouver White Caps, Concerts and Live events, the facility hosts welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans each year, while generating significant economic activity for the Province.

Job Responsibilities:

• Stand organization
• Assists in counting the inventory in the stand
• Assist in the overall preparation of the stand prior and during an event
• General cleaning on a regular basis

Customer Service Position

• The selling of food and beverage items to the public at a specified price
• Greetings of the customer
• The proper use of order pads and POS
• Responds in a professional manner in all situations
• Drink Position
• Back counter position
• Bussing

Cooking and Food Production

• Cooking and storage of food items
• Complete working Knowledge of all food service equipment
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• Other duties as required by supervisor

Other Requirements

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
• Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
