Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in using a variety of power tools and carpentry equipment.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environments.
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes relevant to carpentry work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and materials.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Install structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim with a focus on finish carpentry.
• Perform renovation and repair tasks to maintain and improve existing facilities within accommodation and food service settings.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals and communicate progress and challenges effectively.
• Handle heavy lifting and operate equipment safely, demonstrating strong peripheral and depth perception to avoid hazards.
