Qualifications

• Must operate a Multi-line Digital Telephone Branch Exchange System.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospital software.
• Typing speed of 40–50 WPM.
• Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
• Strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen and direct incoming phone calls – relay messages and facilitate communication between staff, physicians, and the public.
• Page appropriate Emergency Codes and alarms as required and implement procedures per policy.
• Provide basic guidance using established support resources.
• Respond to urgent, time-sensitive situations with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Track changes within schedules and notes for locating service.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
