GardaWorld is seeking a Hospital Fire Watch Security Guard in Manitoba. The role focuses on fire prevention, life safety, and monitoring premises to identify hazards, maintain clear exits, and respond promptly to emergencies.

You will work across various sites, staying alert and professional, often independently. Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting hazards, logging activities, and coordinating with emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Must hold a Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Proficient with basic phone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, greet visitors, check identifications, and guide visitors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the building or assigned areas.
• Identify and report fire hazards and ensure exits and protection systems are clear.
• Respond promptly to signs of smoke, fire or unsafe conditions and call 911 as required.
• Maintain a Fire Watch log with patrol times, observations and incidents.
• Notify building management and emergency services as required.
• Maintain a visible presence to uphold safety and compliance.

Responsibilities for Hospital Fire Watch Security Guard

• Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors

Conducting regular patrols of the building or assigned areas

Watching for fire hazards such as smoke, fire, or unsafe conditions

Responding immediately if fire or smoke is detected by calling 911 and following site procedures

Maintaining a Fire Watch log (patrol times, observations, incidents)

Notifying building management and emergency services as required

Maintaining a visible presence for safety and compliance
