GardaWorld in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a Response Health Centre Security Guard to engage with people and maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors. The role focuses on high‑quality customer service in a sensitive setting, with responsibilities that include screening, incident reporting, and coordinating with emergency teams.

The position is set for Saturday and Sunday 0700-1500, with a starting pay of 17.33 CAD per hour and GardaWorld Academy education funding.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Use of Force certification (Asset) is required or preferred.
• Manitoba valid security license is required.
• First aid certification required.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are essential.
• Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate site-provided metal detecting wand to screen patients entering the facility.
• Monitor and assess potential security risks and respond according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of screenings and report incidents or concerns.
• Provide calm, respectful, and professional interactions with patients in high-stress situations.
• Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
