Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Healthcare Facility Security Guard in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to patrol hospital environments, deter threats, and ensure patient and staff safety.

Requires Manitoba security license, ability to stand and walk during the shift, and strong communication. Hourly wage of CAD 17.33, uniform provided, GardaWorld Academy training, and permanent Sunday-Thursday night schedule.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset or willing to obtain.
• Use of Force is an asset or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset).
• Tactical experience (Asset).
• Customer service oriented.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Respond to codes.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.

As a Healthcare Facilities Security Guard in a Hospital setting , physical ability and ability to De- accelerate situation is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling and de- accelerate situations in a Hospital environment.
