Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Camrose is seeking a Maintenance Worker III to perform skilled maintenance and repair on hospital equipment and building systems. You will troubleshoot HVAC, boilers, pumps and related mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role includes coordinating work within Lakeside, Briarcrest and Westrose facilities, and performing preventive and demand maintenance, with shift coverage across days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field and/or one year of specialized training, or a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate.
• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and one year of experience in plant operations and maintenance.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC, boilers, chiller and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to work well with others and independently; good communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair on patient and hospital equipment and complex mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic components on patient and hospital equipment; monitor and repair boilers, HVAC, medical air and vacuum systems.
• Coordinate and assign work to other Maintenance Worker staff to meet operational requirements.
