Job summary

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for a dependable Environmental Services II to maintain clean and safe patient areas in Wetaskiwin. You will disinfect patient rooms, clinical spaces, offices and public areas following AHS standards; shifts may include days, evenings, nights and weekends.

As an Environmental Services staff member, you will perform sweeping, mopping, linen handling and restocking, use cleaning equipment, and identify hazards for supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum; restock supplies in bathrooms; change linens.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration; wash ceilings and windows.
• Identify and report potential hazards to your Working Leader; may provide training to Environmental or Laundry staff.
