Job summary

Sheshegwaning First Nation is seeking a Homemaking Services Worker to provide homemaking services to elderly and disabled residents in Sheshegwaning and Zhiibaahaasing First Nations. The Homemaker will report to the Health Director.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, cleaning, laundry, changing bed linens, and other related duties as requested. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Compassion and understanding.
  • The ability to work unsupervised.
  • Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector criminal reference check.
  • G driver’s license.
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Anishinaabe language, customs and traditions would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Washing of floors, windows and walls as needed.
  • Cleaning bathrooms.
  • Doing laundry.
  • Changing bed linens.
  • Cleaning fridges.
  • Cleaning Stoves.
  • Other related duties as requested.

Homemaking Services Worker

Sheshegwaning First Nation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to provide homemaking services to elderly and disabled persons in Sheshegwaning and Zhiibaahaasing First Nations. The Homemaker will report to the Health Director.

Overview:
  • Provide homemaking services to the elderly and disabled persons
  • Co-ordinate schedules to meet the needs of the clients in a timely manner
