Job summary

CarePartners is seeking Home Support Workers to assist patients in their homes and communities in the Trenton area, under supervision of the Personal Support Manager. Training includes virtual and in-person components with paid orientation and preceptorship.

The role offers competitive wages, a $500 signing bonus, paid mileage at 0.45 per km plus travel time, and access to health/dental benefits, discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program. Flexible hours and ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

  • Willing to attend full-time training and coaching.
  • Valid driver’s license (G or G2) and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Clear vulnerable sector and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, meal prep and mobility.
  • Support activities of daily living with compassion.
  • Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks.
  • Support socialization and companionship for patients.
  • Ensure safety and dignity during transfers and daily routines.

Overview

Home Support Workers are an integral part of a health care team, and in this role, you will encourage, support, and promote independence for patients in home and community care settings by assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of our Personal Support Manager.

We are looking for Home Support Workers (HSWs) to help us bring patient and family-centered care to in patients in the Trentonarea.Are you someone we should meet?

This course consists of virtual and in-person training. The following is required for attendance in the program:

  • Internet access
  • A laptop or device that has a webcam and is compatible with Microsoft Teams (CarePartners equipment will be available to attend training upon request)

What The Role Involves

CarePartners HSWs provide professional, compassionate care in homes and residences in the community. HSWs assist with activities of daily living, allowing patients and families to live life to the fullest with dignity and independence:

  • Bathing, showering, personal hygiene
  • Dressing
  • Meal preparation
  • Transferring/repositioning
  • Light housekeeping
  • Bowel/bladder care
  • Socializing and companionship

  • A valid driver’s license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
