Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is hiring full-time PSW for home visits across the designated area. You will travel between patients, prepare meals, assist with daily activities, and support patient well-being in their homes.

We value compassion, reliability, and a willingness to travel to patient residences. A valid driver's license and criminal background screening are required. Weekend availability is expected where scheduled.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient care approach.
• Reliable mode of transportation with valid driver's license.
• Willingness to visit patients’ residences within a defined area.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend.
• Experience with seniors is an asset.
• Criminal background screening required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients for home visits.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal times.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support patient well-being.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support with activities of daily living as needed.

What You'll Do

• travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time
• Basic housekeeping duties
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing
• Support for basic activities of daily living

What You Bring

• Compassion and listening skills
• Passion for making a difference in your community
• Willingness to visit patient's residences within a designated area
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset
• Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire
• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
• High school diploma or equivalent
