Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Home Support Worker to assist individuals in their homes across Ontario, including Arnprior. You will travel between patients, provide meals, assist with daily living activities, and support hygiene and well-being.

We offer 3 weeks of in-class training, then eligibility for full-time hours and benefits. The role includes flexible scheduling, travel between visits, and opportunities for education and advancement through funded programs.

Qualifications

• Compassionate caregiver with ability to listen and respond to patients’ needs.
• Willingness to visit patients within a designated area and travel between visits.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background screening upon hire.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well‑being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.

PARAMED HOME HEALTH CARE

As a Home Support Worker, you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities.

You will receive free and paid training in a 3 week in-class program designed to teach you the skills needed to work as a Home Support Worker. Upon graduation you will be eligible for full-time hours and benefits.

• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
• High school diploma or equivalent.
