Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking compassionate caregivers to travel between patients, provide basic daily living assistance, meals, and companionship in the Southwestern Ontario region. You will support seniors and others at home with daily activities and personal hygiene, while maintaining a caring, respectful environment.

The role offers part-time or full-time options with flexible scheduling, company-paid mobile device, and access to education opportunities including PSW bridging programs

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient-centered care approach.
• Ability to listen attentively and adapt to patient needs.
• Willingness to travel within designated area.
• Weekend availability required on a rotating basis.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Must pass a Criminal Background screening on hire.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Ability to work every other weekend
• Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset
• Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire
• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
• High school diploma or equivalent
