Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care in Canada is seeking a PSW to provide in-home care across Owen Sound and surrounding areas. The role includes helping with meals, hygiene, housekeeping, and daily living activities while offering companionship and support to clients in their homes.

The successful candidate will travel between patient residences, have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, and be able to work every other weekend. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills required.
• Willingness to visit patients in designated area.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.

What You’ll Do

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day

• Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset
• Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hirePrevious experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
