Job summary

Spectrum Health Care in Markham seeks a Home Support Program Manager (RPN) to oversee delivery of quality personal support services in a community setting. You will collaborate with the Regional Director to develop client service programs focusing on service delivery, quality, risk management and safety.

• Oversees the hiring, training and orientation for Home Support Supervisors.
• Attends and facilitates meetings as required both internal and external.
• Collects and shares KPI results and drives continuous improvement.
• Identifies trends and gaps to establish quality improvements.
• Communicates serious quality issues to the Regional Director for intervention.
• Supports the Regional Director with projects and day-to-day operations.
• Fosters positive labour/management relationships.

We are hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to be our Home Support Program Manager for our office in Markham.

The Home Support Program Manager manages the delivery of quality personal support services to client/patients in a community setting, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards of practice. This role works closely with the Regional Director to develop and maintain Client Service programs and initiatives related to: Service Delivery, Quality, Risk Management, Safety and Performance Management.

Job Description

• Identifies trends, process gaps, and variations as part of establishing a continuous quality improvement
• Communicates serious service quality issues to the Regional Director for intervention and resolution where appropriate
• Supports the Regional Director with projects and day to day operations as required.
• Fosters positive labour/management relationships

Qualifications

• Current CNO certificate as Registered Nurse, RN or RPN
• Recent experience with progressive management responsibilities preferably in community health care
• Experience managing in a unionized environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal staff, and external stakeholders
• A proven track record of effectively handling complaints and resolving conflicts
