Job summary

Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is seeking an experienced Home Supervisor to oversee the group home operations, ensuring a safe, supportive, and high-quality environment for individuals in service.

Reporting to the Service Area Supervisor, you will manage staff scheduling and supervise frontline teams to maintain continuity of care. Qualifications

  • 2-year diploma in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience providing behavioural supports to clients.
  • Experience providing personal care (e.g., bathing, toileting, personal hygiene).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Access to a personal vehicle is required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate front-line staff with ongoing guidance and support.
  • Provide orientation and training to new staff per policies and position standards.
  • Communicate with families, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams regarding client needs and progress.
  • Respond to crisis situations using de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deliver quality, specialized client services in line with the agency's mission and standards.
  • Provide direct support as needed, including behavioural and emotional support and personal care.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of client records, case notes, and reports.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Service Area Supervisor, the Home Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of the group home. The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage scheduling for front-line staff to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate front-line staff, providing ongoing guidance and support.
  • Provide orientation and training to new staff in accordance with organizational policies and position standards.
  • Communicate regularly with families, guardians, and multidisciplinary team members regarding individual client needs and progress.
  • Respond to crisis situations as required, applying de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deliver quality, specialized client services in accordance with Supported Lifestyles' mission, philosophy, agency, and position standards.
  • Provide direct support to individuals in service as needed, including behavioural and emotional support and personal care.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of client records, case notes, and reports.
  • Identify and address opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A 2-year diploma in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, etc.) or a degree in any discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience providing behavioural supports to clients.
  • Experience providing personal care (e.g., assisting with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Access to a personal vehicle is required.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $23.07 – $24.23 CAD per hour, based on education and experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package for full-time Home Supervisor positions.

Schedule

The schedule for this position will be Tuesday - Saturday, 13:00 - 21:00 and Sunday - Thursday, 14:00 - 22:00.
