Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Health Care Aide to join the Westview Homecare/Home Living team. The role supports patients in home, community, and facility settings, under supervision of a regulated health professional.

You will assist with daily living activities and participate in care planning with families and caregivers. The position requires HCA certification/eligibility, BCLS HCP, strong communication, and the ability to work in diverse home environments, including lifting 25–30

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP) certification.
• Strong communication and assessment skills with ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance with activities of daily living in home and community settings.
• Deliver support services per patient care plan and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Assist nurses with routine care and observe/report patient mood, health, and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with communication among patients, families, and health care professionals.
