Job summary

LEA Consulting Ltd. in Ontario seeks a Highway Designer to support planning, design, and delivery of highway infrastructure within the Civil Division.

You will develop design deliverables, coordinate with engineers and project managers, and apply transportation engineering principles to ensure successful project outcomes. You will work in a collaborative, employee-owned environment that values mentorship, training, and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Engineering internship or co-op in highway design is an asset.
• Knowledge of TAC, MTO, OPSD, and AODA guidelines.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D or OpenRoads.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist detailed design of highway projects per standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Prepare project specifications and technical deliverables.
• Conduct field reviews and prepare notes/reports.
• Support quality control and safety practices.
• Pursue professional development through training.
