Job summary

Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for a full-time Educational Assistant at École Olds High School (grades 9-12). The successful candidate will provide educational support.

The core qualifications include literacy and numeracy intervention strategies, familiarity with the Knowledge and Employability curriculum, and knowledge of executive functioning strategies for neurodivergent high school students. Preference for certified Educational Assistants with related experience.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy intervention strategies.
• Strong familiarity with the Knowledge and Employability (K&E) curriculum and practical instructional supports.
• Knowledge of executive functioning strategies and targeted supports for neurodivergent high school students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group support and targeted interventions for students in Grades 9–12 under teacher direction.
• Interpret inventory results to identify lagging skills and implement effective, goal-oriented strategies.
• Assist in delivering multi-tiered, specialized support to accommodate diverse learning styles and neurodiverse profiles.
