Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking a full-time Educational Assistant in High School Specialized Education Programs. Location Holy Trinity, 25-31 hours per week, start date August 28, 2026, with closing date August 19, 2026.

The successful candidate will support students in Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts, assist with teacher-directed programming, and collaborate with teachers and the multi-disciplinary team to promote learning and positive behaviours.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or Diploma.
• Able to understand/support Social, LA, Math and Science Grades 7-12 including 30-1 levels.
• Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Responsibilities

• Support students academically in Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts.
• Implement teacher-directed programming.
• Work collaboratively with the teacher, CST and multi-disciplinary team.
• Observe and support positive student behaviours and learning outcomes.
• Provide supervision and assistive technologies as directed by teachers.
