Job summary

Magil Construction seeks an experienced High-Rise Construction Superintendent to lead a 32-storey build in downtown London. The successful candidate will have completed at least one high-rise project with experience through exterior systems, finishes and phased occupancy to closeout.

Leading daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining safety, quality, and schedule adherence are key responsibilities. Ontario regulations and high-rise sequencing knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in site supervision on high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineer drawings and other documents.
• Sense of responsibility, initiative and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, get-'er-done attitude.

• Monitor progress and resolve site issues, delays and conflicts.
• Oversee major construction phases, including structure, envelope, building systems, finishes and turnover; review drawings and specs and coordinate RFIs, changes and constructability issues with the project team; maintain safety, quality, documentation and housekeeping.
• Coordinate inspections, occupancy requirements, deficiencies and project closeout.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, consultants, clients and trades.
• Provide leadership and direction to site staff.

Pay: $100,000 - $150,000

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Manage short-term schedules, site logistics and trade sequencing to keep the project on track.
• Monitor progress and resolve site issues, delays and conflicts.
• Oversee major construction phases, including structure, envelope, building systems, finishes and turnover. Review drawings and specifications and coordinate RFIs, changes and constructability issues with the project team. Maintain strong standards for safety, quality, documentation and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete high-rise construction, sequencing and trade coordination.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
