Job summary

Magil Construction in London, Ontario, is seeking an experienced High-Rise Construction Superintendent to lead a 32-storey building downtown. The successful candidate will have completed at least one high-rise project, with expertise across exterior systems, finishes and phased occupancy to closeout.

You will manage daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, monitor schedules and ensure safety, quality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete high-rise construction, sequencing and trade coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code and applicable regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay: $100,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site operations and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Manage short-term schedules, site logistics and trade sequencing to keep the project on track.
• Monitor progress and resolve site issues, delays and conflicts.
• Oversee major construction phases, including structure, envelope, building systems, finishes and turnover. Review drawings and specifications and coordinate RFIs, changes and constructability issues with the project team. Maintain strong standards for safety, quality, documentation and housekeeping.
• Coordinate inspections, occupancy requirements, deficiencies and project closeout.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, consultants, clients and trades.
• Provide leadership and direction to site staff.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of site supervision experience (or similar)
• Knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineer drawings and other documents
• Sense of responsibility, initiative and accountability
