Zusammenfassung

BGRE is seeking an on-site Building Operator in Calgary, AB to manage daily operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the Bankers Hall Complex. You will ensure tenant comfort, respond to emergencies, and uphold safety and sustainability initiatives.

The role requires strong customer service, 5+ years’ experience in a high-rise, and a 3-shift work schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Five years minimum experience as an operator in a high-rise building.
• Experience in operating, maintaining, and understanding large HVAC and electrical systems.
• Operational knowledge of BAS and troubleshooting field devices.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical systems including boilers, chillers, pumps and air handling.
• Independent work capability with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Complete shift duties and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Respond to power outages, floods, fires, and other emergencies.
• Monitor and maintain steam/hot water boilers; water treatment.
• Support annual power shutdowns and safety programs.
• Mentor/train new hires and coordinate with Tenant Services.
• Address tenant requests with high customer service and prompt communication.
• Ensure clear notices for non-emergency work and maintain building cleanliness.
• Maintain HVAC schedules aligned with leases and tenant database.
• Review vendor service reports and assist with certifications and sustainability projects.
• Provide after-hours on-site response as needed.
