Job summary

Soudex Métal is seeking a hands-on material-handler to support a busy Quebec metal fabrication plant. This on-site role requires moving materials and products, reading work orders, and assisting welders and machine operators to keep production flowing.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication or related fields, plus a trades certificate or diploma (or equivalent experience) and a WHMIS certificate. The position emphasizes reliability, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have WHMIS certificate.
• Trades certificate or diploma (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in metal fabrication or related field.

Responsibilities

• Transport items throughout plant using powered equipment and by hand.
• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant.
• Assist structural steel and sheet metal workers, welders, and machine operators.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints/drawings.
• Load and unload vehicles and position materials for processing.

Tasks
