Qualifications

• DEP in heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent (asset).
• Relevant work experience required.
• Must provide own tool chest.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Cummins Insight experience (asset).
• Welding experience (asset).

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks to detect worn or damaged parts and ensure safety.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Carry out overhauls, repairs, and engine reconditioning.
• Conduct inspections and checks to prevent failures and ensure reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance for optimal truck operation.
• Test drive and verify truck performance as required.
• Complete diagnostic, maintenance, and repair reports accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per health and safety standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

This role is ideal for those passionate about heavy vehicles who are dedicated to showcasing and developing their technical skills alongside our experienced team.

The work involved:

• – Inspect the general condition of trucks to detect worn, defective, or damaged parts;
• – Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance, particularly on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems;
• – Carry out mechanical overhauls, repairs, and engine reconditioning;
• – Conduct mechanical inspections and checks to prevent failures and ensure truck reliability;
• – Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the trucks operate correctly;
• – Verify truck operation and performance by conducting road tests when required;
• – Accurately complete diagnostic, maintenance, and repair reports;
• – Maintain a clean, safe work environment that complies with health and safety standards;
• – Perform any other related tasks associated with the role or requested by the immediate supervisor.
