Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking motivated, customer-oriented individuals to join our team in Burlington, ON. You will inspect and service a diverse fleet, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose malfunctions to keep equipment in top condition.

You will mentor apprentices, maintain documentation, and contribute to a safe work environment while interacting professionally with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience working on construction equipment.
• Valid Class G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract.
• Must have own tools and be willing to work overtime.
• Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
• Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Mentor apprentices and new hires as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and work orders.
• Contribute to a safe, orderly shop and yard adhering to company policies.
