Finning in Cambridge Bay, NU is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to support mining operations. You will diagnose and repair CAT equipment in a demanding northern environment, working a 21/21 rotation.

The role requires a Red Seal and 5+ years of mining equipment experience, plus a clean driving record. The position includes camp accommodations, paid flights from Edmonton or Yellowknife, travel allowance, and industry-leading benefits, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Certification is required.
• 5+ years of troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mining equipment.
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 years).
• Strong experience with electrical, hydraulic, and emissions systems.
• Engine or component rebuilding experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 21/21 rotation and maintain safety.

Finning is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to support their mining client in Nunavut. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Caterpillar equipment in a unique northern environment. Candidates will work a 21/21 rotation, enjoy industry-leading benefits, and contribute to building strong northern communities. What You’ll Need
