Job summary

Calgary Metal Recycling is seeking a motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Production team in Calgary. You will set up machines, perform daily inspections, calibrations, and keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on experience with heavy equipment (Liebherr a plus), a focus on safety, and the ability to offload materials, sort metals, and occasionally work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 2 years of heavy equipment experience required.
• Liebherr machines preferred but not required.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Offload customers and move metal piles with a grapple.
• Sort and separate metals.
• Switchman for Railcars after certification.

Job description

As a member of the Production team, the successful and motivated operator will be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently which includes different performance duties.

Set up Heavy equipment machines to start a production cycle (daily equipment inspections, calibration, cleaning etc.).

The successful candidate should have practical experience (preferable Liebherr machines) and perform their work in a safe manner.

• Offload customers and moving metal piles with a grapple
• Sorting and separating metals
• Switchman for Railcars (after passing course and being certified)
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday and 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, Saturday's if needed

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
