Government of Yukon is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II to join the Transportation Maintenance team across Dawson, Eagle, Klondike, Mayo, Ogilvie, and Stewart Crossing. The role focuses on operating graders and a range of heavy equipment to support highway and airstrip maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable Yukon travel.

Ideal candidates will have experience with graders and other heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and complete safety inspections.

Formación

• Experience operating a grader.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks or loaders.
• Experience performing routine equipment maintenance (greasing, oil changes, brakes).
• Experience completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections or other safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Operate graders to maintain and repair highways and related facilities.
• Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks and loaders as required.
• Perform minor maintenance and servicing of equipment as assigned.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and adhere to safety procedures.
