Job summary

Westmoreland Coal Co. in Saskatchewan is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to work on our Estevan mine site. You will operate heavy equipment safely, perform regular inspections, and support maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class 5 driver's license, and the ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts on a 28-day rotation. Prior mining experience is a strong asset and you must adapt to site safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining environment is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.

This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working day and night shifts from 7:00 to 7:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off.

The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own accommodations and transportation.
