• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Ontario AZ/DZ license is an asset.

Job description

Position Overview:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of Heavy Equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis and Repairs: Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment
• Routine Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain an organized workspace.
• Collaboration: Work closely with our team of mechanics, field members and management to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize fleet performance.
• Equipment Inspections: Review pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with a variety of heavy-duty vehicle systems, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and braking systems.
• Reliable and safety conscious
• Experience in the Heavy Civil Industry is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid Ontario Drivers License - AZ/DZ and asset
