Job summary

Bobcat of the Tri Cities is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at customer sites. You will handle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and minimize downtime.

The role requires travel locally, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently with safety-first procedures. Competitive hourly pay, company truck, and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience servicing heavy equipment (construction, agricultural or industrial).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains.
• Ability to travel locally/regionally and work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service reports.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and service management.
• Operate service vehicles and maintain tools and inventory.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Support shop repairs as needed when not in the field.
