Job summary

Grupo NORS in Ottawa is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (421A or 310T) to join our Service team. You will perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, ensuring safety and quality at all times.

The role requires a Red Seal 421A mechanic licence or equivalent, post-secondary diploma or relevant experience, and strong communication with customers and dispatch. On-call duties apply, including after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or relevant work experience.
• Red seal 421A mechanic licence or equivalent.
• Licensed Heavy Equipment Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair field service issues on heavy equipment.
• Proactively contact customers and dispatch for routing and problem resolution.
• Accurate and timely service reports, time cards, and parts used.
• Maintain and service assigned vehicle and tools in good condition.
• Communicate with vendors and technicians to facilitate accurate diagnostics.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in 24/7 on-call duties.
