Job summary

Wajax Corporation in Northwestern Ontario seeks an on-site field service technician to diagnose, repair and recondition heavy equipment, transmissions, engines and components, typically at customer sites or roadside.

You will inspect equipment, obtain customer authorization, complete service paperwork, maintain records, and participate in safety training and vendor training as required. A Red Seal or active apprenticeship is preferred with 2–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient written and verbal communication with customers.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Trade certification or Red Seal is required or currently in an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Communicate servicing needs and obtain authorization from customers.
• Service and repair equipment in shop or on-site and maintain records.
• Complete work orders and warranty information, and participate in safety training.
