Job summary

Wajax Corporation is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair, and recondition heavy equipment, engines, and related components in our shop or at customer sites.

You will test and service equipment, maintain records, and participate in safety training. A trade certification or Red Seal with 2–3 years of experience is preferred, with Detroit and Allison engine knowledge as a plus.

Qualifications

• Trade certification or Journeyman Red Seal, or currently registered in related Provincial Apprenticeship.
• 2–3 years work experience in heavy equipment service or related field.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; strong customer service; mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Knowledge of Detroit and Allison engines is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs.
• Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for the customer.
• Recondition and remanufacture components for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and accurate service records.
• Complete work orders and paperwork; participate in safety training.
