Wajax in Thunder Bay is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair and recondition engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components on-site or at customer locations, ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Trade certification and Journeyman Red Seal or currently registered in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program.
• 2-3 years of work experience.
• Strong communication skills and customer service mindset.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs.
• Service and repair equipment in shop and on-site.
• Remanufacture components as required for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Record service details and update records.
