Job summary

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking a Heavy Duty Technician for our Nisku location on a night shift (Mon-Thu, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM). You will perform mechanical repair and maintenance on trucks and trailers, including drive lines and engines, under the supervision of a Journeyman.

The role requires college/vocational training and at least 1+ year as an HD mechanic apprentice with drive lines/air systems, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Completion of college or vocational technical training.
  • 1+ years as a heavy-duty mechanic apprentice with drive lines, air systems, schematics and diagnostics.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct or assist the Journeyman with CVIP inspections.
  • Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems.
  • Repair and adjust mechanical components including drive lines and engines.
  • Complete written and oral work orders.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
  • Perform other mechanical repair duties as required.

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking an individual to fill the position of Heavy Duty Technician in our Nisku location for a night shift (Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM-12:30 AM). This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Conduct or assist the Journeyman with CVIP inspections

  • Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs
