Job summary

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking a Heavy Duty Technician at our Nisku location for a night shift (Mon-Thu, 2:00 PM-12:30 AM). You will perform mechanical repair and maintenance on trucks and trailers, and assist Journeyman with CVIP inspections.

The role requires college/vocational training and 1+ years as an apprentice, with drive lines and air systems experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Strong problem-solving, communication skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of college/vocational technical training.
• 1+ years as a heavy duty mechanic apprentice with drive lines/air systems, including schematics & diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct or assist the Journeyman with CVIP inspections.
• Troubleshoot major and minor mechanical problems.
• Repair and adjust mechanical components.
• Complete written and oral work orders.
• Repair and adjust truck drive lines, engines and other mechanical components.
• Diagnose and determine the nature and extent of repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
• Perform other mechanical repair duties as required.

Brandt Truck & Trailers is seeking an individual to fill the position of Heavy Duty Technician in our Nisku location for a night shift (Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM-12:30 AM). This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers.
