Job summary

Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited in Calgary is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic with 3+ years of experience to repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and all trailer models to customer specifications.

The role involves repairs to customer vehicles, welding, parts sourcing, and close communication with customers and management to control costs and ensure safety and quality. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry.
  • Possess your own tools and/or willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Repair customer vehicles and trailers.
  • Perform basic welding functions.
  • Inform customer/manager of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes.
  • Monitor the profitability of each job while maintaining high quality and minimizing warranty claims.
  • Submit work orders for invoicing.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies.
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts.
  • Keep work area clean and adhere to EH&S standards.

Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited is seeking a skilled 3+ year Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Duty Trucks who will be responsible for repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers to specific customer and industry-standard specifications.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities Include
  • Perform repairs to customer vehicles and trailers
  • Perform basic welding functions
  • Inform customer/manager of completion times, services expenses, and possible changes
  • Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality; minimize warranty claims and re-work
  • Submit work orders for invoicing
  • Maintain inventory and supplies
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts
  • Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards
Successful Diesel Mechanic Candidates Will Have
  • Minimum of three years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy-duty industry

  • Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs.

Physical Requirements
  • The work is active
  • Typically the associate will lift, pull and move heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50 lb
  • The associate will also have to do the following throughout the day: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing
Work Environment
  • While performing the primary duties of the job, the associate will be regularly exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, and noise and temperature variances

Pay base on experience : $42.00-46.00
