Job summary

Goudy transport in southeast Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and trailers used in oilfield operations, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, and work well independently or with a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection, diagnosis, repair and service of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Strong background in automotive repair or related fields.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with management and colleagues.
• Experience with fluid handling equipment such as tankers, pumps (T&E), etc is an asset.
• Class 1 license an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including Semi trucks, trailers, and other related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs to maintain equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used for each job.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
