Job summary

CEDA International is seeking a Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations at our Regina shop in Regina, SK. You will ensure proper repair and servicing of vehicles and provide regional support as needed.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient maintenance of equipment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in mechanical fabrication, hold a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate, and possess a valid Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical or fabrication shop, on a farm, or similar industry.
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate is required.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with no more than 5 demerits in 3 years.
• Class 1 or Class 3 license is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on specialized equipment.
• Diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and replace defective components.
• Interpret and complete work orders accurately.
• Complete field service calls as required.
• Identify, source, and order parts as needed.
• Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings.
• Support safety and continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate shop employees and assign tasks.

Job Description

CEDA is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team in Regina, SK. This position will oversee the day-to-day activities at our Regina shop and ensure proper repair and servicing of all vehicles. Additional support may be required within the region.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on specialized pressure and vacuum equipment in an efficient and timely manner
• Perform ongoing diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines, after-treatment/emissions systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment, diagnose issues, and replace or repair defective components as required
• Interpret and complete work orders accurately and efficiently
• Complete field service calls as required
• Identify, source, and order parts as needed
• Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled
• Support and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs
• Maintain and update equipment records and repair historiesCoordinate shop employees and assign tasks to provide assistance where and when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

• 5+ years of experience working in a mechanical or fabrication shop, on a farm, or in a similar industry, with experience repairing equipment, building structures from designs, and fabricating custom features for equipment
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certificate required
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with no more than 5 demerits within the past 3 years required
• Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license considered an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and meet the testing requirements of client sites, as applicable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate company policies and safe work procedures
