Job summary

A mining company in Canada is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to provide mechanical support for their operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have a Heavy Duty trade certification and 2-3 years' experience in heavy-duty machinery. The job requires a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and offers a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at a remote camp.

Qualifications

• Minimum two to three years’ experience with heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment maintenance.
• Alimak experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical support to underground and surface operations.
• Repair and maintain mining equipment in a timely manner.
• Supervise and train other mechanics as needed.
