Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to join the McIlvenna Bay team at the Northern Saskatchewan site. This full-time position offers either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation and is remote in location but based at the McIlvenna Bay site.

The role involves executing maintenance on mining equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and complying with industry standards and safety regulations. Camp-based with travel support and a robust benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman or Red Seal certification.
• 2+ years experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in a mining or heavy industry setting.
• In-depth knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and their implications for maintenance activities at mine sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and implement timely repairs.
• Ensure the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Optimize maintenance processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with industry regulations.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and equipment malfunctions, developing effective solutions to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to join the expanding McIlvenna Bay team. This full‑time, remote position at the McIlvenna Bay site in Northern Saskatchewan offers either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will execute mechanical maintenance activities, ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, and maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

• In‑depth knowledge of mining equipment, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of environmental regulations and their implications for maintenance activities at mine sites.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $61.68–$66.82 /hr (base salary including monthly bonus based on targets).
