Job summary

Strive Recruitment Inc. in Winnipeg is seeking a Shop Heavy Duty Mechanic for a daytime, on-site role with a 7–8 AM start, Monday–Friday, no weekend work, and occasional on-call overtime.

You will repair and maintain hydraulic components, cranes, lifts, and mobile equipment, following OEM specifications. A Red Seal is preferred; 4th Class is welcome. Strong troubleshooting and accurate documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in heavy-duty mechanics (trucks, cranes, hydraulics).
• Red Seal preferred; 4th Class welcome.
• Welding and electrical knowledge a strong asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Own tools and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain equipment per OEM specs.
• Diagnose problems using tests and measurements.
• Ensure equipment operates through checks and tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production breakdowns.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance.
• Interpret manuals to meet specs and warranties.
• Perform routine PM services and safety inspections.
• Use CMMS and plan maintenance schedules.
• Maintain client relationships during shop visits.
