First Student in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to keep school buses and transit vehicles on the road year-round, close to home.

You will diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, suspensions and drivetrains while maintaining documentation and responding to mobile service calls. Relocation and new hire bonuses may apply, with strong safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with diesel engines, commercial transport vehicles, or transit buses.
• Own a basic mechanic's tool set.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A reliable, professional approach to your work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses and transit vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately.
• Respond to mobile service calls when required.
• Work as part of a safety-focused maintenance team.
