Job summary

Finning Canada is hiring shop technicians for our new Saskatoon facility. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform condition reporting, and verify components per CAT guidelines. The role involves engine dynos, bench testing, and coordinating with customers and sales support.

The position offers a permanent role, safety-focused culture, and paid benefits. Apprentices are welcomed, with opportunities to gain CAT certifications and advance within Finning.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Certification (Heavy Equipment, Truck and Transport, Agriculture, Automotive)
  • Apprentices will be considered based on experience
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
  • Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
  • Experience with SIS (Service Information System), ET and warranty systems considered assets

  • Wage: $42.62 - $51.57 base wage - $3.50 Continuous Shift premium (where applicable)
  • Paid Time Off in Year 1: Vacation, sick and 7 days flex time

This position is based in Saskatoon, on a 7x7 continuous shift
