Job summary

Finning Canada in Prince George is seeking a Hydraulics Specialist to troubleshoot, repair and maintain Caterpillar components, including cylinders and valves, using CAT SIS and ET daily.

You will complete service reports, support warranty and crossover notes, and work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand while engaging with customers and teams on various tasks.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket is an asset.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.
• Experience with Caterpillar products is an asset.
• Engine or power generation experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As the Hydraulics Specialist, you will troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of CAT components, such as cylinders and valves. Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Interact with internal and external customers Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket considered an asset
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
• Previous engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset

Important Details

This position is based out of Prince George, on a 7x7 Continuous Shift A condition of employment may be to be fit tested and wear a respirator.
