Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty equipment in a unionized environment. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and regulatory compliance while working both independently and with teams.
Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and documenting work status for operations.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty mobile and stationary equipment safely and efficiently
Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Document work completed and communicate equipment status clearly with operations teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and safety
Red Seal Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems
Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and regulatory compliance
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
