Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service mixer trucks and equipment. You will perform lubrication, breakdown and scheduled repairs to ensure peak performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, testing repairs, and maintaining compliance with manufacturer standards in a unionized environment. Strong hydraulics, electrical knowledge, and CVIP considerations are a plus.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset
• Proficient in transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics and other mixer-truck components
• Understands DOT inspection requirements and adheres to maintenance programs
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling and working at heights
• Familiar with documentation and diagnostics using digital tools

What You'll Be Doing

• Lubricate and perform breakdown maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required to achieve optimum performance.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems.
• Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer standards.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
• Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For

• Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset
• Demonstrates technical proficiency with transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other components on mixer trucks
• Understands DOT inspection requirements and adheres to formal maintenance programs
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling, working at heights and in confined spaces
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools for documentation and diagnostics

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
